SO! Mr. Neverson has a new mixtape out that's been on heavy rotation on my ipod for the past few weeks. I love this one, and though I'm still upset his album got pushed back to August ( its been a freaking year already, damn ) , I'm pleased with this for now. soo the other day i was looking through my bookshelf and came across one of my old composition books for my theatre arts class in the 10th grade and out slipped the part of a script i had to memorize for my final . i had to do the final with one of my friends earl , and our teacher miss mizzone gave me the role of laura in the play the glass menagerie , and earl played jim - a friend of my brother tom . so basically in the scene we had to do - laura's mother had convinced tom to invite jim over for dinner but also as somewhat of a blind date for laura . laura had some self esteem issues due to a brace she had to wear in high school , and she was also shy so she hadn't really been on a date or anything . the guy jim ; laura knows from high school . they shared a class together and she told him how much she had admired his singing in chorus . she starts to warm up and talk more and tht was the end of the scene . lol i got the part that i could most relate to because i am shy and quiet and it took a lot out of me to perform but i got a A !

Staying home from school today was good for my health. I am definitely feeling a lot better than I did yesterday.

I really wish I would've stayed home today. More importantly, I wish I wasn't sick. I swear, the weather here is ignorant. It hasn't rained since Tuesday, which means it was sunnier yesterday and today. I don't know how or when exactly but on the way to El Camino on the 12:30 bus, my throat started hurting. Got home, ate pizza and lasagna and birthday cake for my grandpa's birthday. Went to bed at nine. Now the people who know me knows that there is something wrong with that picture. I'm nocturnal! The earliest I go to bed is 12:00. I took some Alka Seltzer Cold before I went to sleep hoping that would make everything better. I was wrong. I woke up this morning with even more of a sore throat and a stuffy nose. It's the weather I tell you. Can't stand this weather! I was going to stay home but decided to man up and go to school. Plus, I didn't need to miss Cain's class . (he wasn't even there anyway -_-) All throughout second period, my throat felt like it was going to close on me, and Mr. Thomas was all down my neck when I decided to sit on the floor. But Zina had me dying though. She lightened my mood for a brief minute with her crazy antics talking about this loud mouth girl that annoys the both of us. Fourth period was nothing better. I was real hot, like I could feel the warmth my self. Took two tylenol and sat it out. Sixth period and lunch was fun/funny. I tried not to focus on my throat or my head or my nose, and enjoyed what was going on around me. When 2:50 hit, I was happy to finally be up out of there.

The good thing about today was I finally got two things I've been wanting forever.

valentine`s day at dominguez .

Today was a fun day. I woke up after ten being threatened. My grandma was on the phone talking about if I didn't clean my room, bathroom, house... she wasn't going to take me, Auri, and Tanti to the step show. I wasn't having that so I got up ( 15 minutes later lol ) and got to work. First I cleaned my room, vaccumed the whole bottom half of the house, then cleaned the bathroom and got dressed. I called my grandma and tried to go look for something new to wear to the step show... fail. So I put on something I already had in my closet and looked for somethin to eat while I waited for Auri and Tanti.

We got to CSUDH around 3:30. The place was PACKED... not. It was a ghost town. None of us knew where we were going, and I had remembered Marquelle saying it was gonna be at the Home Depot Center, but that was locked up and deserted. So we drove around the parking lot asking random people if they knew where the step show was located. When we found out where it was, Tanti, Auri and I got out the car and walked down the trail to the gym. When we got inside, we paid for our ticket... 20 bucks - ridiculous ! All I gotta say is, those people made a lot of money off that show. Then out of nowhere I see Jayshell and his big hair lol. When he passed he said hey and gave me a hug and I followed Tanti into the gym part of the gym.

The first thing I see is Marquelle waving like a crazed woman with the rest of the MHS girls. We go over to her and gave her a hug and wished her luck. "Hey honeybun!" lol, I don't know why but that had me dying.

The show started about half an hour late (justlikeblckppltobelatelol) and I was getting so sick of the hosts talking and talking and talking and talking. They needed to just introduce the teams and be gone, smh. I really enjoyed myself though. My favorites were Animo, Inglewood (boys), Westchester andd the girls of the MHS drill team. CONGRATS to Marquie (1st place girls) && Jey (3rd place co-ed).

Oh && no Valentine for me, but I honestly don't care. Never had one in the past, why start now?

friday the 13th .

What a way to end the week. It was raining cats and frogs ( stole that from Tanti, lol ) today. I HATE the rain with a passion unless I'm in my room, under the covers with my music in my ears and hot chocolate. But it was spent at school for seven hours . Today was the VDAY dance but I didn't go to that crap because the last dollar dance I went to I didn't enjoy myself. And I dont understand why I would go and give Leadership my money to sit there and watch people dance. Not my scene . This week has been all types of crazy, I don't even want to start to describe it. IT'S BEEN COLD AS FUCK TOO!... another thing I hate, lol. And they ( Alicia & Auri ) were tryna go get me to see Friday the 13th with them tonight. Hell to the no. My plans for Valentine's Day include the step show @ the Home Depot Center with Tanti and Auri . Been wanting to go since the college fair. I need to go find a new outfit. I hope it doesn't rain...

So today's a special day , none other than the homegirl Zina's 19th birthday. Zina (pictured above in blue) came to CHHS in the 10th grade, but we didn't talk much. It wasn't until 11th grade, 3rd period Civics && Econ. with Mr. Berry and 5th period with Ms. Kuzma that we really started talking and becoming friends. She used to have me dying of laughter with her crazy antics, talking about people and whatnot. Now our senior year, we have Thomas together and I sit in on Cain's class. Other times, she be ghost. Zina is one of the most random people I know. She could write her own dictionary with all the stuff she be saying. Happy nineteenth, Zina Bina. Hope you had a good one.

First things first, I'm still schocked about the whole Chris and Rihanna ordeal. I didn't want to believe it when I heard ole dude keeping Ryan updated on it during the red carpet show. Even with the articles and whatnot, I still didnt want to believe it . But I guess it is true. I'm glad Chris posted bail, but she's supposedly pressing charges because he has a scheduled court date in March. I wish them both the best of luck. Damn.. I can honestly say that I am disappointed with this night. My two loves that I was rooting for didn't win. ( Jazmine + Trey ) It's okay, they'll get them next year. I'm proud of J. Hud though. She deserved her win && she looked beautiful tonight. I don't think I have anymore comments about the show, because honestly I didn't pay too much attention to it. Might delete it from the list of recordings later.

EDIT: I lied. I really enjoyed T.I. + Jay + Ye + Wayne && M.I.A`s performance. The whole B&W thing gave it a vintage feel and I thought something was wrong with my tv for a minute lmfao. i can't remember a day i've laughed harder .

school today was funny as hell .

2nd period thomas .
normally i dont have fun in thomas` class but today was an exception . i get in late and see the desks are all bunched together . and i see everyone all spreaded out . i thought in my head ' wtf ik this man aint tryna give us assigned seats ! ' sure enough he was . [ sigh ] that made me upset . so he had me sit at a different table away from my twin , shali , zina , seko and blake . ( though my twin and blake were at the group of tables right beside me and shali behind me . ) both zina and seko were far :( .

mrs. brown came in to inform mr. thomas that we had to stay in the classroom until twelve becasue the sophomores were taking the CAHSEE . i wanted to die... literally . FOUR HOURS IN A FREAKIN MATH CLASS ?!... pre-cal at that . i just knew he was gonna try to make us do some work for those full four hours . .... aint no way in hell .

sure enough tried to get us to do work during fourth period , that we had to spend in there . did i ? nope . boom snap clap . bang bang . tic tac toe ; those were my forms of entertainment during that time . oh && robert getting in trouble with mrs. brown . and her demonstration with shalimar on how she caught him and some girl ( most likely an underclassman ) all hugged up on each other . that demonstration was death .

nothing special happened .


6th period visiting cain .
soo since i dont really have s 6th period , i visited cain`s class . when we first got in there he had me grade some quizes while the class did their work . he was in and out of class too .

laughs in cain`s class ( because im too lazy to write in paragraph form how abt a list . )
- jaymz , daron , and brandon whtever the hell they was doing - it had me laughin at points .
- jaison`s question abt the assignment due friday being done on friday .
- auri`s story abt her ex bf being deported .
- mr cain`s teasin alicia abt her old overaged "bf" .
- mr cain`s reaction to me almost cursing out jaison ( who sat way across the room ) .


YUP , funny business .

so i've come to a conclusion .

i don't like being around people .
went to the slauson swap meet with the fam .
i wanted to get out of there so fast .
i could not stop thinking about getting out of there .

college bound : the update .

so in the past 2 days , 3 universities have come to my school to give presentations about their schools and on site admissions . and i've gotten into all three of them , which means i've been accepted into 8 schools .

3. Philander Smith University
4. Paine College
5. Southern University
6. Clark-Atlanta University
7. Dillard University
8. Norfolk State University

college bound .

so yesterday i went to a black college exo && i i applied to seven schools .
- Dillard University
- Philander Smith College
- Paine College
- Hampton University
- Southern University
- Texas Southern University
- Clark Atlanta Univerity .

i got accepted to 3 on the spot . Philander , Southern and Paine . Dillard will be at my school sometime soon , and they're doing on-site admissions . i forgot abt tht until after i turned in my app, transcripts, and scores .

&& i would've applied to Grambling State University BUT they were asking for an application fee while all the other schools waived theirs . i still have the application all filled out too .

i also got to see one of my bestest friends tht i havent seen since my birthday ( due to the fact tht she moved . ) and i saw two of my old elementuary && one of my middle school classmates .

then we watched the step show . it was good frm what i was able to see due to my height and all the tall people with big heads around me . this one dude on one of the teams was cutee . oh && keke palmer was there too .

after we left the exo , we hit up chuck e cheese . i had fun , besides the fact tht i had a killer headache like the whole day .

bad day gone good .

so today during 3rd period && at the begining of lunch ; i really wasnt in a good of a mood . things started to get better once lunch started to unwind with the freeze practice && laughing with alicia and tanti . then 5th period was pointless , so i laughed some more with alicia and tanti . then patty came over and entertained us some more . after school , i washed my hair and off to Yad Style to get my hair fried , dyed , and laid to the side which made my day a whole lot better .

soo i have brutha`s debut album on my ipod now && its reallyy good . as i was listening to it , one song made me go wtf ? when i first heard the beat m i thought to myself " heyy , i know this song " then i listened to the words and was like " OMGSH , i have this song ! " only difference was , the version i had was sung by ne-yo . then it all made sense . the version i had was a demo && ne-yo wrote it , brutha recorded it .

there`s also this other song by them that i like . its called turn it up && it has this up beat temp to it . its not on the album though . anyway , when i listen to it it reminds me of outcasts' hey ya and janelle monae's many moons .im sure there are other videos but those are the two tht i think of when i listen to it .

anyway.. brutha is bomb . && the brothers are bomb too .
